Summary Job Statement

The Warehouse Process Lead evaluates, implements, supports, and controls business process for all warehouse, shipping, and inventory processes in both the production centers and the sales centers. The key focus is intended to develop standard processes and identifying potential improvements to existing processes, driving consistency and performance improvements. This will require daily engagement with facility leadership and the local operations to better troubleshoot and to provide informed advice and analysis that can drive improvement in our operations. This constant engagement and attention to process development will allow this position to be a crucially important source of information and feedback to supply chain leadership. This position will be the primary resource for developing process documentation for warehouse, shipping, and inventory processes, and will maintain those documents as processes evolve and mature over time. This documentation will serve as the formal tasks and instructions for the field users to follow and guide their daily objectives. This position will serve as the primary investigator of full good and raw material inventory variances across the company, acting as the subject matter expert for any inventory issues that production centers or sales centers need help with.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the IT processes and business processes are aligned to support the business objectives and strategic goals of supply chain organization overall. Central to this role will be working closely with both manufacturing and the planning organizations to ensure a smooth business process and the technology that supports these business processes. This will include being the dedicated CCBCU resource for all CONA Warehouse incident resolution and solution development, as well as participating in DOIP and PE incident resolution and solution development to ensure alignment across all three groups.

The position is located in Chattanooga, TN or Atlanta, GA, must have the ability to travel 75% of the time throughout the CCBCU system including working outside of normal business hours and working on weekends as well.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for CONA or any system issues related to warehouse operations, shipping, and inventory
  • Work cross-functionally across process areas to understand system capabilities and process limitations both within and outside of the department
  • Ensure sustainability of systems and standard processes
  • Investigate problems, determine root cause, evaluate, recommend solutions and implement changes
  • Provide analytical support for projects, initiatives, and overall improvements

     

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be in compliance with United’s Fleet Policy.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables and vlookup.
  • Must be able to read and speak English.
  • Must have a good working knowledge in MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must have the ability to interpret large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the Company.
