Summary Job Statement

Supervises and coordinates daily duties of hourly associates engaged in manufacturing activities focused on high efficiency, safety, food safety, quality and cost metrics.



  • Main positive shift morale.
  • Develop hourly associates as leaders to help in directing work area.
  • Actively supervising and directing associates to get the most out of their skills, always working toward continuous improvement.
  • Reduce unscheduled downtime while maintaining an excellent level of housekeeping and quality.
  • Enforce and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Reviews records for accuracy of information an compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Directly supervises up to 16 employees in the Production area.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Planning, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance.
  • Reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written , oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software.

Physical Requirements:

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.  Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks:  Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Delivery Product, Cooler Services, etc.
