<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Summary Job Statement

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Supervisor – Maintenance is responsible for leading and directing the maintenance mechanics performing <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">preventative/corrective maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability. Train team members on technical processes in order to perform timely repairs and high quality Preventive Maintenance (P.M’s). Ensure <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">that the equipment operates up to its original performance and quality specifications.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Interview, hire, and train associates
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plan, assign, and direct work
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Appraise performance
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Address complaints and resolve problems
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Builds positive associate morale
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop and implement scheduled Preventive Maintenance (P.M’s)
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop work schedules of the mechanics
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Direct mechanics in performing proper and correct repairs
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Enforce parts room procedures to help ensure that proper parts are available when needed
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Enforce all safety policies of the Department
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Promote Food Safety in all areas of Maintenance
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Directly supervises Maintenance employees
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Effective use of all maintenance operating systems up to and including Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Production Line Monitoring System (PLMS)



<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum age 18 years old
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to read, write and speak English
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong communication and problem-solving and time management skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to effectively adapt to change
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Frequent walking and exposure to noise
