Summary Job Statement

Delivers products and manages inventory on both the machine and truck level. Maintains accountability for overages and shortages by performing the following duties:

 

Responsibilities

  • Relieve in the absence of the Full-Service Delivery Merchandiser in performing all the daily duties of filing and cleaning machines.
  • Maintains good customer relations by providing direct communication and satisfaction.
  • Pulls assigned inventory from the truck and while making necessary adjustments.
  • Returns all out-of-date products to plant for processing.
  • Completes end of day settlement and paperwork.
  • Promote Safety and adhere to DOT policies and procedures.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to learn applicable computer programs (SAP, Easitrax, Outlook)
  • Must be able to operate a manual or motorized pallet jack.
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Ability to learn how to use the hand-held system
  • Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English
  • DOT Certification

 

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
